Top talent jazz vocals Cece Gable – MORE THAN A SONG: If you’re looking for jazz performed with that certain “zing“, you need look no further than the top talent jazz vocals that CeCe Gable offers up… to get an intimate view of her fourth album, check out this video trailer first…VIEW HERE.
…I venture to say that there will be more videos soon, so be sure to SUBSCRIBE to CeCe’s YouTube channel (as did I).
CeCe’s album hit the streets on 24 July, 2020, so you’ll find it available everywhere… she has some top talent players supporting her, too… Roni Ben-Hur: guitar; Harvie S: bass; Sylvia Cuenca: drums and Brian Landrus: baritone saxophone and bass clarinet… you’ll fall in love (just like all the jazz DJ’s will) by the first couple of bars of Harold Arlen’s “As Long As I Live“… CeCe “owns” this song, folks!
Listeners who love a bit of Latin jazz will find the group’s performance of Jobim/Gilbert’s “Fotografia” most enjoyable… Roni’s guitar is simply beautiful, and it’s only moments before you (and your ears) are totally enchanted… lovely, lovely.
Of the ten tantalizing tunes CeCe offers up, my choice for personal favorite came easily… the 6:16 closer, “Detour Ahead“, features some of the most mellow reeds you will hear in 2020… be sure to listen to the entire album with your headphones on, so you can catch every subtle nuance!
I give CeCe and her playing companions a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 4.98. Get more information on CeCe’s page for the album.
