CeCe is in the mix!
Madeline Eastman, Standford University
I developed and have headed the Vocal Department at Stanford Jazz Workshop, Stanford University for over 20 years. CeCe was a student of mine many years ago at the Workshop. She had never sung in front of an audience before attending this workshop, yet her enormous potential was obvious from the beginning. Famed jazz singer Sheila Jordan even encouraged her to “keep singing!” Over the years I’ve seen CeCe grow not only as a singer, but, more importantly, as an artist. She is an “idea” person. It simply comes out of her pores. One day, she’s playing the trumpet and dabbling in singing, the next she’s singing with a full orchestra with her own charts. That’s quite a trajectory. She has always involved herself fully in the community; teaching, singing, dancing. If it involves art, expression and community…CeCe is in the mix!
